Since CEDO was founded in 1980, it has been a prime destination for visiting researchers. Located near a variety of ecosystems – rocky intertidal, estuaries, rocky reefs, islands, and the Sonoran Desert – CEDO is the perfect base to conduct research in the region.
The CEDO field station includes the Earthship Visitor Center, exhibits and gardens and a courtyard, available for day use. The main building, overlooking the Sea of Cortez, houses dorms, kitchen, library, lab and classroom space for groups visiting overnight.
We offer slideshows, guided tours of the local coastal and desert ecosystems, intercultural activities and the opportunity to contribute to our conservation and research through volunteer service. Click here for a brochure describing our field station programs.
Make your reservations here and check fee schedules for field station use and other educational events. Click below to view our Reservation Form. The form can be filled out electronically and emailed back to CEDO at firstname.lastname@example.org, or filled out and mailed to PO Box 44208 Tucson, AZ 85733.
