Kayak Caper / Travesía en Kayak
Aug 17 @ 7:00 am – 12:00 pm

High tides in the Upper Gulf of California allow naturalist enthusiasts to access otherwise inaccessible estuary channels that fan out into the salt marsh. It is in these channels where a plethora of species can be observed; fiddler crabs, flounder, egrets, willets, long billed curlews, and herons along with many other migratory bird species and halophyte plants use these hypersaline ecosystems as refuge, hatcheries, nurseries, feeding and breeding grounds as well as resting places for migrating bird species.

For more information please email us at: info@cedo.orgaaron@cedo.org or call us at +01 52 (683) 638-0113.

Tidepool Exploration / Exploración a las Pozas de Marea
Aug 31 @ 7:00 am – 10:00 am

When tides are at their lowest, a vast and dynamic ecosystem gets exposed.

Tidepooling during a full moon is the perfect opportunity to both be amazed by the nocturnal sky’s beauty and discover very unique hidden creatures during low tide. Join us as we explore the rocky intertidal reefs of Puerto Peñasco in search of marine invertebrates like sea slugs, sea hares, starfish, sea anemonies, pistol shrimp, and many more mysterious species that get caught in these pools of saltwater as the tides recede while the full moon shines brightly in the dark sky.

For more information please check our EcoTour calendar @www.cedo.org, email us at info@cedo.org, or call us at +01 52 (683) 638-0113.
